The Bristol Beaufighter Mk.VI Night Fighter makes an excellent display project for hobbyists with an interest in WWII naval and night operations. Built from the Beaufort platform, the Beaufighter served as a radar-equipped interceptor for the RAF and proved effective in nocturnal combat thanks to its onboard Airborne Interception radar and heavy armament.
First appearing around 1940, the Beaufighter's sturdy airframe and modified tailplane contributed to reliable performance in night sorties. While later types took over some roles, the Beaufighter's service history and distinctive appearance give it enduring appeal for scale modellers and aviation enthusiasts.
