The Douglas A-1H Skyraider has long been prized for its solid construction and ability to carry heavy external loads. Tamiya's 1/48 rendition focuses on the airframe proportions and service appearance, providing a satisfying project for modellers and display builders.
Developed from a wartime requirement in 1943, the Skyraider first flew in 1945 and soon proved its versatility. The AD-6, later named A-1H, was produced in large numbers because of its toughness and payload capability. This static kit lets you recreate a piece of that operational story on the bench.
