The Tamiya 69926 Amphibious Vehicle Kit is designed to introduce core ideas about propulsion and buoyancy through direct assembly. As a colour variant of the 70119 model, its blue and yellow livery makes it an attractive instructional model.
Tamiya has kept the build user-friendly with snap-fit components backed up by a few screws to lock critical parts. The assembled vehicle measures 175mm in length, 89mm across, and 54mm tall, making it easy to store and display.
Floating capability comes from Styrofoam floats while a screw propeller provides water thrust via the Submarine Motor. When used on land the drive is transferred through a worm gear to the rear wheels, demonstrating two contrasting drive solutions.
You can tweak the rudder and front wheel angles to alter turning radius on both water and ground. These adjustments are useful for experiments on steering response and control settings.
