The Tamiya 1/350 representation of HMS Prince of Wales recreates a pivotal British battleship with close attention to wartime detail. Famous for actions like the pursuit of the Bismarck and later air attack losses, this kit represents the vessel as it appeared during December 1941 operations.
As a key asset in early WWII sea operations, the Prince of Wales differs visually from sister ships in areas such as the bridge and anti-aircraft fittings; the kit captures those differences. Included sprues allow construction of a Supermarine Walrus seaplane plus Japanese G3M and G4M bombers to enhance diorama or shelf displays.
The completed hull measures 649mm long with a 99mm beam, making a commanding display piece. A purpose-built stand and nameplate are supplied, and the build involves many fine components that benefit from patient assembly and precise glue application.
