The Kagero-class destroyer Yukikaze is a notable vessel from World War II. Commissioned in January 1940, she served in major Pacific operations including actions around the Philippines and Solomon Islands and later at Okinawa. Surviving those campaigns, Yukikaze gained the informal title "lucky destroyer." Tamiya's 1/350 rendition portrays the ship as seen during the 1945 Ten Ichi Go sortie.
This kit delivers a careful representation of the Yukikaze for scale enthusiasts. It provides both waterline and full hull options so you can present the ship your way. Polycaps allow the turrets and torpedo mounts to rotate after assembly, and ABS parts are used for durable masts. Photo-etched parts supply crisp ladders and aerials, while metal chains enhance deck detail. A stand is included for simple display.
