Compact Gun Metal Enamel for Model Kits

The Tamiya 80010 Enamel X-10 Gun Metal paint is supplied in a 10ml vial and is well suited to kit builders and diorama work. It can be applied by brush or spray and bonds well to plastics and wood when surfaces are clean.

Airbrushing Advice

When spraying Tamiya Enamel X-10, thin with two parts thinner to ten parts paint for consistent atomisation. Use light passes and allow each coat to settle before adding more to reduce orange peel.

Can I use this on resin kit parts?

Yes, it performs well on resin and plastic provided the parts are degreased and dust free before painting.

Will it stick to previously painted surfaces?

Adhesion is best on clean, lightly abraded or primed surfaces; test on a scrap area if unsure.

How soon can I recoat between layers?

Allow each layer to become touch dry and tack free before adding further coats to avoid trapping solvent and impairing the finish.
