The Tamiya 81707 XF-7 Flat Red comes in a handy 10ml pot and uses water-soluble acrylic resins. It is designed for both hand brushing and airbrush use, and is compatible with styrol resins, Styrofoam, wood and the majority of model plastics, delivering an even, matt finish.

Mixing and spray notes

When using an airbrush, thin with Tamiya thinners such as 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520 or 87077 to get a steady spray pattern. The paint blends cleanly with other acrylics if you need to tweak hue or create subtle weathering effects.

Practical applications on kits

XF-7 Flat Red is useful for interior trims, instrument panels and small painted details where a flat red is required. Its subdued tone helps preserve scale realism on cars, aircraft and dioramas.
