The TS-13 Clear from Tamiya gives modellers a straightforward way to achieve a clear protective finish on assembled kits. Each 100ml can normally covers about two to three 1/24 scale car bodies, making it practical for multiple projects.

Where and How to Apply

TS-13 Clear is suitable for application over both acrylic and enamel base coats, producing a consistent finish without lifting the paint beneath. Note that it is formulated for plastic model kits and is not recommended for polycarbonate RC car bodies. Prepare surfaces by cleaning and removing any contaminants before spraying.

Can I use this on lexan RC bodies?

No. TS-13 Clear is intended for typical plastic model kits. For lexan or polycarbonate bodies choose a clear designed specifically for that material.

What coverage can I expect from one can?

A 100ml can will generally cover two to three 1/24 scale model car shells, depending on coat thickness and spray technique.

How do I avoid orange peel?

Use light, even passes with adequate flash time between layers, keep ambient temperature stable, and avoid heavy single passes. Practice on scrap plastic to dial in technique before spraying finished models.
