Tamiya TS-40 gives a metallic-black lacquer finish that dries fast, ideal for model kit bodyshells and display pieces. The synthetic acrylic formula sprays smoothly and a single 100ml can will usually cover two to three 1/24 scale plastic car bodies.

Preparing surfaces and layer guidance

For best results, make sure the base coat is fully cured before applying TS-40. It is compatible with cured acrylic and enamel layers, so you can apply it over properly dried underlying paint without obvious issues. Light sanding and a clean surface improve adhesion and final appearance.
