The Tamiya 89541 reproduces the U.S. M551 Sheridan, first fielded in 1966 and notable for pairing light armour with the M81 152mm gun-launcher. Built to be air-portable, the Sheridan featured widely during the Vietnam conflict and subsequent operations where mobility was critical.
Designed as a display kit at 1/35 scale, this release focuses on static realism with molded belt-type tracks and a crew torso figure to complement display scenes. The new edition takes cues from the original 1971 motorized kit but is optimized for collectors and non-motor builds.
