The AB41 was a versatile WWII reconnaissance vehicle noted for its mobility. Its 4WD, four-wheel steering and independent suspension helped it operate effectively in varied theatres. The vehicle was widely used in North Africa and was later adopted by German units following Italy's armistice.
This Tamiya 1/48 rendition faithfully reflects the AB41s silhouette at 110mm long. The riveted hull detail is reproduced thanks to Italeri tooling, and the turret with 20mm gun shows fine moulded features. The aluminium die-cast chassis adds realistic heft, while the rubber tyres mimic the large desert tread seen in Libya. Four decal schemes are supplied to cover two North African patterns, an Italian domestic finish and a Wehrmacht service option.
