The Tamiya 94897 JR 13mm Aluminum Ball Race Rollers bring a lightweight, ringless option to Mini 4WD setups. Manufactured from aluminum for a good strength to weight ratio, they use 520 metal ball bearings to minimise rolling resistance and help maintain speed along walls and through bends. Suitable for both front and rear installation, they work with Mini 4WD PRO and standard frames so you can experiment with positioning to suit your track. The black anodized surface gives a low profile look while helping protect the finish from scuffs.

Do these affect lap times much?

Properly installed low-friction rollers like these can shave small amounts off lap times by reducing wall drag and keeping top speed through corners.

Is any special tooling needed to fit them?

No special tools are required beyond basic screwdrivers and pliers. The package includes mounting screws and fits standard roller posts.

Can I service the bearings myself?
