I have been purchasing Tamiya products with Rcjaz for a couple of months now, selection is awesome and service is quick and reliable, considering I leave half way around the world.
This motor is versatile but shines on tracks that combine medium straights with technical turns, where its RPM range and torque give a good balance of speed and driveability.
You can alter pinion size to tune acceleration versus top speed. Many hobbyists start with an 8T pinion and adjust based on lap time and motor temperature.
Regularly clean commutator dust, check brushes for wear, and avoid prolonged runs at maximum voltage to prevent excessive heating and premature wear.
Rules vary by club. Check your event regulations for approved motor lists, but this special edition is generally intended for advanced competitive classes that allow Hyper-Dash motors.
