The Tamiya 95647 Ray Spear Asia Challenge 2023 Special marks the Asia Challenge event and is built on the compact VZ chassis. Its lightweight layout makes it a great platform for racers focused on lap consistency and quick setup changes.
Created by Hyper Designer Takayuki Yamazaki, the Ray Spear is modelled with sharp, aerodynamic lines inspired by jet fighters. The canopy detaches to reveal a tidy cockpit area, and the smoke ABS blends with fluorescent yellow accents for a standout race look.
The VZ chassis keeps mass to a minimum while providing a low centre of gravity for stable high-speed runs. It uses a 3.5:1 gear ratio tuned to the Type 130 motor and comes in a black mould that suits the paint scheme.
There are many Grade-Up Parts available to refine handling and speed, including upgraded motors, precision gears, and specialist tyres. Swapping to small-diameter, low-profile wheels helps reduce drag and sharpen cornering.
With a striking shell and a tuneable VZ chassis, the Ray Spear Asia Challenge 2023 Special suits racers who like to tweak setups and squeeze extra lap time from a compact Mini 4WD.
