Heavy-duty front mount suited to TAMIYA A5 models

The JR-TFD08-RD item is an aluminum front suspension arm mount and gearbox support made for 1/10-scale TAMIYA Thunder Shot, Thunder Dragon, Fire Dragon and Terra Scorcher buggies. As an aftermarket A5 replacement it substitutes the original plastic component with metal to reinforce the front end and offer greater support around the gearbox area while keeping the stock layout intact.

Use case and fitting: install the bracket into the factory A5 front bulkhead mounting points where it connects to the suspension arm pivot. It is intended for routine maintenance, tuning upgrades, or to replace worn plastic parts without changing chassis or drivetrain geometry.

Tuning notes: converting to an aluminum mount alters front stiffness and can modify handling balance when paired with different shock settings or sway bar choices. Inspect fasteners and mating faces during fitting to ensure correct alignment and unhindered suspension travel.
