BB-01 carbon chassis conversion

This carbon fibre chassis kit replaces the standard BB-01 (BBX) main plate to deliver a firmer, lower-mass foundation for the model. It is intended as an aftermarket conversion that changes chassis stiffness and weight distribution without modifying suspension geometry or gearbox locations.

Fitting requires removal of the original plate and mounting the carbon piece to the existing frame; the product uses the stock fixing points in most BB-01 (BBX) variants. Inspect fasteners and check clearances during installation, and use appropriate torque to avoid introducing stress risers at mounting holes.

From a setup perspective, expect reduced compliance from the chassis which will alter steering feel and consistency. Use tyre choice, damper tune and ride height adjustments together with this plate to refine handling and cornering behaviour.

Use this carbon plate when you want a more predictable, less compliant chassis baseline on BB-01 (BBX) models; it is aimed at hobbyists doing targeted tuning work.

Carbon fibre is stiff and strong, but it can crack under sharp impacts; it offers better stiffness than plastic but is not indestructible, so assess damage after heavy knocks.
Under normal RC use the plate performs reliably, but monitor high-stress areas near mounts for hairline fractures over time and replace if any structural compromise appears.
For aggressive off-road use consider additional protection like skid plates or guarded mounts; the carbon plate itself is aimed at stiffness and weight saving rather than impact shielding.
Carbon retains stiffness and shape better under high loads, improving consistency, but plastic may absorb impacts better; choose based on tuning goals and expected running conditions.
