This upgrade replaces fragile plastic steering pieces on the Tamiya CC-02 chassis with durable aluminium parts suited to hobby use. The kit features a 25-tooth hi-torque servo saver machined in aluminium to match common servo splines, plus aluminium tie rods that attach to the steering knuckles. The combination is intended to sharpen steering feedback and reduce wear under rough trail conditions.
It is explicitly compatible with Tamiya CC-02 chassis items; check spline counts and steering geometry before you fit. Installation occurs at the servo horn and linkage points and generally requires removing the stock plastic components, setting tie rod lengths, and tightening fasteners while keeping the steering neutral. This is an RC part and is not for full-size vehicles.
For setup, use small incremental tie rod changes to dial in toe and turn-in response. A properly configured aluminium servo saver offers measured compliance to help protect the servo output gear while routing forces through stronger linkage hardware.
