This kit swaps fragile plastic steering components on the CC-02 for alloy parts machined to resist wear and maintain alignment. The gun metal finish is applied to aluminum components that are intended to deliver longer service life under off-road use.
Design intent and composition: constructed from aluminum with a gun metal surface, the parts are specified for the CC-02 platform and for use with 25T servo splines to stabilise steering inputs. The wording is accessory-level and does not claim original manufacture by the platform maker.
How to fit: detach the factory saver and tie rods from the steering knuckles and servo horn, slot the aluminum saver onto the 25T spline and replace the original fasteners in the same positions. Ensure correct spline alignment and torque hardware to avoid play. Use the turnbuckles to fine tune linkage length without overloading threads.
Performance and maintenance: intended to give stable steering geometry and resist deformation when upgrading to high-torque servos. After installing, check steering centring, endpoint values on your transmitter, and re-examine for binding after a short testing run.
