This set swaps out the original plastic servo saver and steering link rods on the Tamiya CC-02 chassis for machined aluminium parts to handle increased steering loads and maintain consistent geometry. The design is built around a 25T servo-spline saver body coupled with aluminium threaded tie rods for a direct fit into CC-02 steering assemblies.
Fitting is handled with routine RC workshop steps: remove the stock saver and links, press the aluminium saver onto the servo spline, attach the tie rods between servo horn and knuckles, then adjust rod length and servo horn to achieve the desired toe and centring. Apply thread locker where metal fasteners meet aluminium and avoid overtightening to protect components.
When used with stronger servos this aluminium assembly helps reduce slop and gives crisper, more repeatable steering. It is intended as a scale upgrade for easier steering geometry tweaks during setup or repairs.
