This aluminium servo saver and tie rod set replaces the original plastic components on the TAMIYA CW-01 Lunch Box chassis with machined metal parts intended for scale RC use. The assembly is a 25T high-torque saver paired with aluminium tie rods to improve rigidity where stock items may flex or degrade.
Fitment is specific to the CW-01 (Lunch Box) layout and depends on the chassis mounting points plus servos that use a 25T spline. The component interfaces between the servo output and steering linkage to protect the servo gear train and keep steering response consistent during normal running.
To fit: remove the factory saver and tie rods, transfer any suitable hardware, and mount the aluminium saver to the servo spline. Confirm spline engagement and steering travel before operating, and set tie rod lengths to match the chassis geometry to avoid binding. No wiring or electronic changes are required.
Care advice: metal components lower flex but still need routine inspection for threaded fastener security and straight alignment. Use thread-lock on metal-to-metal joints and check linkages after impacts. The aluminium tie rods give a stable reference for steering trim and toe adjustments.
