This hi-torque aluminium servo saver is an aftermarket option for the Tamiya CW-01 (Lunch Box) chassis, sold as model LB024STM. The assembly combines a 43T aluminium saver body and a steel tie rod to deliver a more durable connection between the servo output and steering linkage on CW-01 scale models.
It replaces the stock plastic saver to better absorb shock loads while maintaining mechanical feedback for steering setup. The aluminium body resists deformation during repeated impacts, and the steel tie rod maintains accurate alignment between the servo horn and steering arm under load.
Installation is straightforward for those familiar with CW-01 service: remove the original saver, transfer or fit linkage as required, and secure the aluminium saver into the existing mounting points. After fitting, check steering centre and linkage length and make small adjustments to horn or tie rod ends if needed.
The part is well suited to hobbyists upgrading to higher torque servos or looking for a tougher saver on their CW-01 models. Always confirm fitment with your servo horn and linkage hardware before extended use.
