This graphite rear shock tower is an aftermarket replacement made to work with the TAMIYA DF03 chassis, providing a secure mount for the rear dampers and a stable anchor for suspension links. The graphite construction aims to reduce flex seen with standard plastic towers while keeping added weight to a minimum.
Installation uses the DF03 rear mounting points and the chassis original screw locations. Remove the factory tower, align the new plate, and use the original hardware where possible. Double check alignment and retain any spacers or washers so damper shafts stay centred.
On the setup bench, a graphite tower gives a firmer upper mount that can change how the rear end feels under cornering. Try different mounting positions and damper angles and record ride height and tracking to see the tuning effect versus the stock part.
