Rear constant velocity shafts for Tamiya DT series

This rear CVD drive shaft is made as a hobbyist replacement for Tamiya DT02, DT03 and TT02B platforms. The driven half-shafts use alloy steel #45 and are supplied as one pair to replace worn rear drivetrain components.

The item is focused on the listed chassis; this part is NOT compatible with Tamiya 58374. It is intended for hobby use to recover drivetrain geometry, reduce rear diff output play, and offer a reliable upgrade over worn or low-grade drives.

Fitting follows standard rear CVD swap practice: remove rear hubs and driveline elements to reach the shafts, check set-screw and hex seating, and verify axle alignment through suspension travel to prevent binding. Small adjustments to set-screws or light thread-lock on steel-to-steel fasteners can be applied during reassembly.

Compatible Models

  • Tamiya DT02
  • Tamiya DT03
  • Tamiya TT02B

Ensure replacement shafts match your chassis code for correct spline count and length, and inspect bearings and hub hardware while swapping parts.

I bought several parts off you guys for a few different Tamiya chassis. Love the quality of your products. Can I ask why you do not have any parts for the Tamiya CR-01 chassis?

Thank you very much, all arrived safely. Thank you very much for this first transaction from Japan to my beautiful France. Good luck and thank you again from the bottom of my heart. See you next time and good luck in the land of the rising sun. ++++
The product is supplied as one pair of rear CVD shafts intended to replace the original rear driveline on compatible models.
Yes, compatibility is listed for DT03. Always confirm hub and diff output fitment and spline alignment before final assembly.
No routine shortening is required; only minor set-screw trimming or adjustment may be needed to ensure correct seating and clearance.
Using alloy steel #45 halves reduces wear compared with soft materials and helps maintain rear drivetrain geometry over longer running periods.
