This aluminium front upright is made for the TAMIYA DT-03 RC chassis and carries the model number JR-DT306-BK. As an aftermarket hop-up it replaces the original plastic upright to increase front-end stiffness and improve steering response without changing fundamental suspension geometry.
The component serves as the steering knuckle and wheel hub carrier, holding the wheel hex and linking to steering and lower suspension components. Using aluminium at these mounts reduces flex and can produce a crisper steering feel on sealed surfaces and organised tracks.
Fitting is simple for those familiar with DT-03 parts: remove the stock uprights, move over any wheel hexes and bearings, then install the JR-DT306-BK units on the existing mounts. After fitting, inspect steering ball link geometry and wheel clearance, and ensure the servo horn and tie rods move freely.
From a tuning viewpoint, this item is targeted at increased longevity and feedback: it holds settings better under load compared with plastic. It does not alter the inherent suspension layout, so suspension and ride-height remain the primary tuning levers.
