Overview of the Front Shock Mount

This front shock tower is designed specifically for the TAMIYA DT-03 chassis and is finished in anodized orange aluminum by the manufacturer. It provides a stiff mounting surface to reduce play at the shock pivot and supports more consistent suspension geometry during tuning.

Fitting is simple for DT-03 setups: the tower aligns with the DT-03 front pattern and takes the place of the original front assembly piece. During installation, maintain the standard DT-03 components and inspect for adequate clearance and correct fastener torque.

From a setup perspective, the extra rigidity limits mount flex and can result in more predictable damping characteristics. After fitting, double-check shock length and linkage positions and make small adjustments to spring and damper settings while testing on-track or during practice.
