This aluminum front upright carries the part code JR-THS01-LB and is intended for use on TAMIYA Hotshot, Bigwig, and Boomerang platforms. The metal part reduces flex at the hub compared with the original plastic carrier while preserving the stock mounting geometry.
Finished in blue anodize, the unit includes a 5mm long ball connector so it fits setups that require extended ball ends. As an aftermarket upgrade it alters front-end stiffness and steering feedback, useful when upgrading other suspension pieces or moving to higher grip surfaces.
Fitment notes: remove the factory upright, move over any necessary spacers or bearings, and secure the aluminum upright in the existing hub location. Double-check tie-rod alignment and steering sweep after installation to prevent binding and ensure correct ball connector orientation.
Handling note: switching to aluminum uprights typically reduces hub carrier flex which can alter dynamic camber and toe under load. Expect a firmer steering feel and adjust shocks, camber links, and toe settings to dial in balance.
