GB-01 aluminium shock body kit in light blue

This aluminium front and rear damper kit is intended for the Tamiya GB-01 chassis and carries the model number GB-06/LB. It replaces factory plastic shock bodies with machined aluminium parts finished in a light blue anodized coating to improve durability and repeatable mounting on GB-01 suspension points.

The item is designed for tuning and maintenance: metal shock bodies reduce wear from frequent servicing and provide a stable mounting surface for commonly used GB-01 shock shafts and springs. It is supplied for model use only on compatible RC chassis.

Fitting advice: you will need basic RC tools such as hex drivers and a small spanner for shock caps. Remove original shocks from the GB-01 lower arms and towers, move springs, shafts and internals where required, and install the aluminium bodies in the same orientation as the originals. Verify thread engagement and consider threadlocker on metal fasteners for secure assembly.

Ideal when you want stronger shock bodies for repeated stripping and rebuilds or when you prefer metal components for setup consistency; make sure the parts match your GB-01 shock shafts and spring sizes before final fitment.

Yes, these bodies are intended to work with standard GB-01 springs and shaft assemblies. Confirm spring inner diameter and shaft length to ensure correct fit and travel.
The bodies themselves do not significantly alter damping characteristics; handling changes only occur if you change springs, pistons or oil. They do provide a stable mounting point which helps preserve set-up over time.
Periodic inspection of threads, seals and fasteners is recommended. Reuse or replace seals as needed when transferring internals, and keep the aluminium surfaces clean to prevent grit from affecting seals.
