Designed for the Tamiya GF-01 platform, this aluminium 23T servo saver replaces the factory plastic unit with a metal option while keeping the original 23-tooth spline. It is supplied as an aftermarket replacement intended to give a more rigid steering link between servo and steering arm.
Installation is simple for those familiar with steering link swaps: remove the old saver, fit the 23T spline onto the servo output and secure the servo horn to the new saver. The supplied aluminium tie rod connects to the steering knuckles; set its length to match the stock track and inspect for any interference through full lock.
From a setup perspective the metal saver reduces play and improves repeatability, but it also means less inherent shock damping compared with plastic. Check servo torque and travel compatibility before using on aggressive terrain or hard impacts.
