This upgrade servo saver and tie rod assembly is built as an economical aftermarket option for the TAMIYA GF01 chassis. With aluminium parts and a 24T gear interface, the unit offers a firmer connection between the servo output and steering linkage while still absorbing sudden shocks that can harm the servo.
Installation replaces the factory servo saver and tie rod at the GF01 steering knuckle and servo horn. It is made to use existing linkage hardware, so check threads and mounting orientation before fitting. You may need to cut or adjust the tie rod length to recover correct toe-in and steering centre.
In setup terms the aluminium assembly moves the handling toward a firmer steering response and quicker input transmission, which aids accurate cornering and consistent feedback while tuning. Re-check servo centring and steering end points after fitting to avoid binding.
