The JR-THNE01-GU is produced to suit the TAMIYA Hornet EVO (58742) as a direct aluminium swap for the front lower arms. Its gun metal finish is matched to common anodised hop-ups and offers a stiffer anchor than the stock plastic arms.
Front lower arms determine suspension pickup position and influence steering geometry, toe behaviour, and how forces travel through the suspension in corners. Swapping to aluminium reduces flex at these joints, helping to preserve intended suspension settings when driving harder or changing setup.
Fitting is carried out at chassis level by replacing the factory front lower arms at the Hornet EVO mounting points. Use original screws where applicable or check the listing for supplied parts, and confirm that the suspension moves freely through its travel before final tightening.
From a tuning perspective, these aluminium arms provide a chassis stiffening baseline. Follow up with alignment checks, damper re-valving, and anti-roll adjustments to evaluate the net effect on handling. Regularly inspect for stress concentration after extended heavy use and make sure steering linkages remain clear of the new arms.
