This anodized aluminum rear underplate is an aftermarket hop-up tailored for the Tamiya Hornet EVO (58742) chassis. The red finish provides corrosion resistance and a durable bearing surface beneath the rear of the model while maintaining access to routine service points.
As a tuning component, the underplate introduces a deliberate change in rear mass and a firmer rear datum compared with standard plastic parts, which can improve rear grip in some conditions but will alter dynamic response. Integrate it alongside suspension, gearing, and motor tweaks for balanced performance gains.
Installation is designed to be user friendly: position the underplate over the Hornet EVO (58742) rear mounts and secure with the vehicle fasteners where applicable. Typical RC workshop tools are sufficient, and a post-installation fastener check is advised before running.
