This aluminium damper kit provides a metal upgrade for 1/10 scale Tamiya touring cars in the M03 and M04 families. The anodised light blue alloy bodies are intended as a longer-lasting alternative to stock plastic dampers and suit regular track and club use.

Components are made to fit the existing shock mount points, ball ends and spring retainers used on M03, M03M, M03L, M04L and M04M chassis, so no changes to body panels or suspension geometry are normally required. Installation is the standard swap: remove the factory shocks, transfer compatible springs and internal parts, then fit the aluminium dampers with the original screws and pins.

Setup considerations: aluminium housings deliver more rigid support and predictable outer dimensions that can affect heat dissipation and mounting feel. Continue to tune oil weight, spring rate and preload as usual; the bodies do not force a new oil class but can help achieve consistent adjustments. Routine maintenance remains the same: check seals, examine pistons and shafts, and confirm spring collar engagement during setup.
