4-hole Derlin piston features

High-quality Derlin pistons machined with a four-port design for use with the TAMIYA M06 platform. Derlin minimises friction on the shock shaft and pairs consistently with silicone oil, while the four ports shape the damping curve for steady, predictable response.

These items act as direct swap pistons for standard M06 shock cartridges. Installation involves stripping the shock, removing the old pistons and springs, fitting the Derlin pistons and rebuilding with existing oil and seals. Check hole alignment and piston orientation to match front and rear tuning where needed.

When tuning, the 4-hole pistons change flow rate during compression and rebound to adjust mid-speed damping. They are useful for achieving consistent behaviour across all shocks when experimenting with oil grades or spring stiffness.
