This 23T aluminium hi-torque servo saver fitted with a steel tie rod is an aftermarket steering component for the TAMIYA M1025 Hummer platform. It replaces the factory servo saver to deliver a firmer, more wear-resistant interface between the servo output and steering linkage while still allowing controlled give to protect the servo internals.
The component transfers steering motion from the servo while helping to isolate high-impact forces. The aluminium shell reduces flex versus common plastic parts, and the steel tie rod preserves straight linkage geometry under load. That makes the unit suitable when installing stronger servos or when you want a tighter steering response without direct transmission of shocks to the servo.
Installation requires a correctly prepared TAMIYA M1025 steering assembly and uses the existing mounting points and fasteners. Before final tightening, check that the servo spline is fully engaged and that the steering is centred. When setting up, verify travel end points and adjust any servo-saver preload to achieve a balance of protection and steering accuracy. Always bench-test to confirm smooth operation and no binding.
