Can I use this with tuned gear ratios?

Yes. The cover is a housing upgrade and does not change internal gear geometry, so it remains compatible with common gear ratio swaps that fit the TA01/TA02/DF01 layouts.

Do I need threadlocker on the screws?

Using a light threadlocker on metal-to-metal fasteners is a good precaution for bashing or high vibration use, but it is optional for mild driving.
