The JR-TA105-GU is an aluminium rear shock tower intended for 1/10 scale RC models using the Tamiya TA01 or TA02 rear layout. Its gun metal finish offers corrosion resistance and keeps the rear bulkhead profile neat.

Sold as an aftermarket upgrade, this tower follows the TA01 and TA02 rear mounting dimensions so it replaces the original plastic tower directly. The aluminium construction gives a firmer anchor for the shocks and helps preserve geometry when the car is loaded hard.

Installation tips: remove the rear body and existing tower, move over any reusable hardware, and fit the tower while ensuring shock and linkage clearances are correct. Once installed, confirm shock travel and wheel alignment prior to running.

Tuning benefits: swapping to an aluminium tower reduces rear mounting flex and stabilises shock positions, which helps when experimenting with roll centre and damping changes. It is best used for fine tuning rather than wholesale chassis rework.
