This aluminium front gear box bottom is made to replace the factory lower housing on Tamiya TA01, TA02 and DF01 models, offering a robust, direct-fit replacement for workshop or track spares. As the bottom half of the front transmission, it provides a firmer seating for the spur and pinion set and promotes more reliable mesh under load.

Fitting is straightforward for those familiar with Tamiya assemblies: remove the front case screws, separate the halves, transfer gears and bearings where needed, and secure the aluminium lower using the original screws. Unless bearings or seals are damaged, retain original components and check gear alignment after reassembly.
