The JR-TA102-BK motor mount is an RC replacement plate tailored for Tamiya TA01, TA02 and DF01 chassis. It gives a rigid surface for motor attachment to help preserve alignment with the spur and pinion gear train while avoiding claims of specific speed or torque improvements. Use is limited to model applications.
Installation is familiar for those used to Tamiya touring car layouts: remove the original mount, position this aluminium plate on the existing chassis mounting points, and normally reuse original motor mounting hardware. After fitting, recheck motor height and gear mesh to prevent premature spur or pinion wear.
When tuning, a firmer motor mount reduces motor shift under load, easing repeatable mesh adjustments and consistent drivetrain response. Confirm correct screw thread engagement and ensure the mount does not impinge on servo or ESC housings in your TA01/TA02/DF01 arrangement.
The chosen material and finish are aimed at workshop durability for hobby use; inspect the mounting fasteners occasionally to ensure everything remains secure.
