This graphite rear shock tower is produced to replace the original on TAMIYA TA05, TA05-IFS and TA05-R setups. It secures the rear shocks and changes rear-end stiffness for tuning purposes without modifying drivetrain parts.
Because graphite is stiffer than many stock plastics while remaining light, the part reduces chassis deflection at the shock tops and alters mid-corner balance. Plan to revisit damper compression and spring tuning after fitting.
Fitment uses the existing TA05 rear bulkhead screw positions so the swap is straightforward with standard hex tools. Check screw torque carefully to prevent damage to the graphite component.
Use this item as a tuning tool: increasing rear mount stiffness can stabilise the chassis but may move handling bias, so fine-tune rebound, compression and anti-roll bars to get the desired traction and feel.
