This Factory Pro split rear upper plate is crafted for the Tamiya TRF421 chassis as a precision hop-up. Manufactured from 2mm graphite, the component swaps in for the standard rear upper deck to modify rear rigidity while keeping original mounting geometry.
Installation requires no special tools beyond basic TRF421 maintenance gear: remove the stock rear plate, position the split graphite section onto the existing screw bosses, and secure with the original fasteners. Alignment with the gearbox and bulkheads should remain correct when installed as intended.
Use this upgrade mainly as a tuning component. The firmer 2mm graphite rear deck changes how the chassis flexes under load, so pair it with small progressive changes to damper valving, sway bar tuning, and toe settings to dial in balance.
