Finned aluminium motor plate

This aftermarket plate is built for the Tamiya TT01 chassis to replace the factory motor mount with a solid aluminium plate that provides a heatsink surface. It is designed as an upgrade to help manage motor heat and maintain correct motor-to-gearbox positioning during tuning and track sessions.

The plate offers two practical benefits: improved passive cooling and a more rigid motor mount. The integrated fins increase metal surface area for shedding heat and the alloy body reduces flex compared to stock plastic, helping keep pinion and spur alignment steady for consistent drive on sealed surfaces.

Installation follows normal TT01 procedures: remove the stock mount, fit the motor to the new plate, and secure with the original mounting points and screws. Standard hex drivers are sufficient; verify torque settings and mesh after fitting and after the first few runs.

great to deal with and communication is very good !👍
No modification is normally required. The plate is produced to match TT01 mounting geometry and installs with the chassis' existing holes.
Generally the original screws and spacers are suitable. Check fit and replace hardware only if you find interference or unusual gaps.
Tighten motor mounts gradually while checking gear engagement by hand, then fine-tune mesh to remove excess play without creating binding. Recheck after a short running session.
