This alloy steering tie rod is an aftermarket part for the Tamiya TT01 chassis, listed as model TT049. It replaces fragile plastic linkage with a machined metal rod and comes with the mounting screws required for installation.
Use this part to improve steering stiffness or to replace worn connections on a 1/10 TT01 electric touring car. The aluminium body resists repeated steering inputs and track wear while maintaining the factory steering geometry.
To fit, remove the original plastic tie rod from the servo horn and steering knuckles, fit the alloy rod into the same mounting points, and secure with the supplied screws. After assembly check steering travel and thread engagement, making small adjustments to avoid over-tightening.
The tie rod provides a simple tuning point: alter effective toe or trim by changing rod length at the ball joints to refine turn-in and mid-corner balance without altering servo or suspension components.
