Foam buffer for TT01 touring cars

This urethane foam bumper is a scale replacement intended for use on Tamiya TT01 chassis. It functions as a front or rear buffer to absorb low-speed impacts and limit load transfer to body posts and chassis parts on 1/10 touring car models.

Fitting is simple: remove the factory bumper and attach the foam unit to the existing bumper bracket or mount points on the TT01. The material is intended to compress in low-energy collisions and rebound, so confirm there is adequate clearance and that steering and suspension travel remain unrestricted after installation.

From a setup perspective the bumper is passive hardware that changes the first-contact characteristics and small rebound behaviour during slow knocks. It is suited for practice parking areas, paddock bumps, or mild on-track contacts where you want controlled cushioning without affecting aerodynamic pieces at speed. Replace the foam when you notice loss of resilience or visible damage.
