Light-blue anodized steering kit for TT01E/TT01ED

The JR-TT103-LB aluminum steering set replaces fragile plastic steering parts on Tamiya TT01E and TT01ED chassis with stiff anodized aluminum components. The design aims to hold factory steering geometry while offering a more consistent mechanical interface for the steering linkage.

The anodized light blue finish gives the parts a distinct appearance and adds protection against surface wear and corrosion when compared to untreated metal. Aluminum construction helps limit deflection under steering loads and supports repeatable setup during testing and maintenance. The set is made for 1/10 scale electric touring models and fits the standard steering mounts found on TT01E and TT01ED variants.

Installation notes: remove the original plastic steering assembly, retain any reusable screws and bearings, then fit the aluminum parts into the original mounting positions. Confirm servo horn clearance and linkage alignment before torquing hardware to final spec. Typical hex drivers used for TT01 service are sufficient for the job.

Specifications

  • Item: Aluminum steering set
  • Material: Aluminum
  • Model Number: JR-TT103-LB
  • Compatibility: Tamiya TT01E / TT01ED
  • Color: Light blue (anodized)

Ideal for replacing tired plastic parts, this set stiffens the steering interface to improve consistency during setup and track use on TT01E/TT01ED touring cars.

Aluminum resists wear and deformation better than molded plastic in high-load steering scenarios, which typically results in longer service life and fewer geometry shifts over time.
Anodizing improves surface hardness and adds a protective oxide layer, reducing corrosion risk, but it does not make parts maintenance-free; periodic cleaning is still recommended.
While aluminum is tougher than plastic, very high impacts can still damage linkages or mounts; inspect fasteners and mating bearings after crashes to ensure safe operation.
Anodized colors are generally durable, but repeated abrasion or chemical exposure can dull the finish. Gentle cleaning and avoiding harsh cleaners will preserve appearance longer.
