This 31mm alloy dog bone is an aftermarket part manufactured by GPM for the Tamiya TT02 platform. It is designed as a direct-fit front and rear half-shaft replacement to give owners a tougher, more consistent drivetrain link versus the factory plastic components.
The component bridges differential output cups to hub carriers and delivers reduced wear when compared to plastic dog bones, helping maintain power delivery through repeated sessions. It is intended for 1/10 scale TT02 touring style cars and should be used as part of an overall setup and tuning plan.
Fitting is simple: remove the wheel and hub carrier as required, withdraw the original dog bone and insert the 31mm alloy unit, checking engagement at both diff cup and hub end. After installation check gear mesh and diff preload, and apply a small amount of grease where metal meets plastic or bearings to limit friction and noise.
Tuning tip: alloy dog bones increase drivetrain stiffness and can change throttle response and corner entry feel. Use TT2131 when you want a repeatable drivetrain reaction during setup changes or iterative diff adjustments.
