Heavy-duty aluminium C-hub for TT-02B/DF-02

Designed as an RC replacement item for TAMIYA TT-02B and DF-02 chassis, this C-hub is machined from aluminium and finished with a red anodized coating. It takes the place of the factory plastic hub to offer a more secure mounting point for the steering knuckle and front suspension.

The unit installs using the stock TT-02B and DF-02 front suspension geometry and mounting holes. During fitting check steering arm clearance, wheel offset and bearing seating to avoid binding and ensure correct alignment.

From a durability perspective the metal hub decreases flex and lowers wear where a plastic hub would deform, helping maintain repeatable steering under load. It is aimed at 1/10 on-road modelers who want to extend component life and consistency.

How much more durable is this aluminium hub versus the stock plastic part?

Aluminium resists wear and deformation far better than stock plastic, but regular inspection of bearing seats and contact surfaces is still recommended.

Will I need to change bearings or other parts to fit it?

The C-hub uses the existing mounting layout, but confirm ball bearing fitment and replace any worn bearings. Spacers are only needed if clearance adjustments are required.

Is the anodized finish susceptible to wear?

Anodizing adds surface protection and corrosion resistance but can show marks with heavy abrasion; avoid abrasive cleaners and inspect finishes during maintenance.
