Aluminum wheel hub adapter made for Tamiya chassis

This aluminum adapter is engineered for Tamiya Thunder shot, Thunder Dragon, Fire Dragon and Terra Scorcher buggies. The two red components replace the stock plastic hub contact to give a durable metal interface for wheel mounting and adjustment tasks on 1/10 buggy builds.

Fit and purpose: designed to act as the wheel hub interface on the specified Tamiya models, the adapter improves repeatability of wheel seating and lessens slack that can arise from aging plastic parts. It is a chassis-level upgrade aimed at alignment and handling consistency rather than powertrain changes.

How to install: remove the wheel and the original hub per your chassis instructions, slide the adapter into position on the axle or hex stub depending on your hub arrangement, secure using the existing hardware, and then confirm even rotation and minimal runout before road testing. Check torque after the first run.

Setup benefits: ideal when testing different wheel offsets, swapping rim types, or whenever a stable metal mating surface is needed for accurate bearing seating and wheel alignment during tuning sessions.

The red anodized surface improves corrosion and wear resistance compared with raw aluminum, helping maintain appearance and mating surface durability under normal hobby use.
Fitting the adapter does not change bearing lubrication needs. Inspect bearings and add lubricant if worn or contaminated, then confirm smooth free rotation after installation.
Visually inspect the adapter and fasteners after the first few runs and during routine service intervals to ensure there is no loosening or unusual wear.
