Durable aluminum steering holder tailored to Promoto-MX

This anodized aluminum steering holder is an RC replacement component for the Team Losi Promoto-MX motorcycle chassis, sold as model JR-LMX05-PU. It substitutes the original plastic steering mount to offer greater rigidity and resistance to wear between the steering assembly and the front fork on Promoto-MX dirt bikes.

Targeted at Promoto-MX motorcycles, the part is a no-fuss upgrade for riders wanting metal strength instead of the factory plastic. It helps preserve alignment under repeated steering inputs and during precision trimming of steering throw and centring behaviour.

Fitting is straightforward using the same screw locations as the stock part. Remove the OEM steering holder, position the aluminum unit on the steering shaft and fork tabs, refit the existing hex screws and check the steering link and servo horn move freely. No extra brackets are typically required on standard Promoto-MX setups.

When tuning, reassess steering return and full-lock clearance after installation, and retighten mounting hardware after a brief run-in. This item is intended solely for RC dirt bike use and will not affect servo electronics, the ESC, or the motor.

The anodized aluminum construction offers a substantial improvement in rigidity and abrasion resistance over the plastic original, extending service life under typical Promoto-MX riding conditions.
In most cases no modification is needed. The holder aligns with the factory screw points and uses the existing hex screws; check fit during trial assembly to confirm clearances.
By stiffening the mounting interface, the holder can give a firmer steering response and better centring consistency; verify link geometry and adjust trims as needed after fitting.
