Aftermarket rear driveshaft for TRAXXAS 1/10 models

This rear driveshaft assembly is made for select TRAXXAS 1/10 trucks and is designated FR106R. It combines 6061 aluminium sections with medium carbon steel pieces in a constant-velocity configuration to reduce rotating mass while improving engagement compared with basic stamped or moulded shafts.

Designed for the rear drive shaft area, the unit uses a 6 mm axle for the primary compatible models shown below. The CVD layout maintains steadier torque delivery during throttle application and suspension movement, making it a good choice for drivers wanting balanced strength and reduced drivetrain lash on Slash, Stampede, Rustler and Ford F-150 Raptor variants.

Fitment advice: replace the rear driveshaft assembly in the rear drive shaft area, confirm the axle diameter on your chassis before fitting, and ensure screw pins and retaining hardware are torqued correctly. Certain TRAXXAS 4x4 variants listed below use 5 mm axles and will need the #9080 upgrade kit to adapt this shaft.

If you want a tougher rear shaft with lower inertia and cleaner CVD operation for trail or backyard runs, FR106R is a practical upgrade; double-check axle size and use the #9080 adapter where listed.

Refer to the top entries in the compatible list for 6 mm axle models such as the Ford F-150 Raptor and several Slash/Stampede/Rustler 4x4 variants; match your model code to be sure.
Improved drivetrain engagement and reduced lash can give a more predictable feel under power, especially when combined with a tuned suspension.
Basic hobby tools are sufficient for replacement; ensure axle diameter is correct and that retaining pins are seated and tightened to spec.
