High-travel aluminium shock absorbers for X-MAXX

Built as an aftermarket option for TRAXXAS 1/5 X-MAXX variants, these aluminium spring shocks incorporate an L-shape piggyback reservoir to boost usable oil volume and reduce damping fade over long travel. The seal layout is arranged to minimise oil loss and preserve consistent shock action.

The shafts use 7mm stainless steel to improve stiffness at the piston interface, and the kit includes two coil spring choices for tuning ride feel: 2.6mm (green) and 2.8mm (orange). Precision-finished small components are assembled by hand to ensure dependable fitment in suspension upgrades.

These shocks give three primary tunable elements: increased oil capacity through the piggyback, shaft stiffness with the larger 7mm shafts, and selectable spring rates from the supplied springs. That combination makes it easier to tailor compression, rebound balance, and roll characteristics for large X-MAXX rigs listed below.
